This year Godzilla Momma was delighted to receive S. H. Monster Arts accessories for some of her Godzilla toys. This was very exciting as the ghost of Christmas past brought the Godzilla 2000 Godzilla and Final Wars Gigan. The Ghost of Christmas Present also brought the S. H. Monster Arts Destroyah Evolution set. So what started with a couple of toys a year ago has now become an amazing battle scene in the display case.
The first SHMA accessory box was a gift last year and included a couple of burnt and cratered buildings, tanks, masers, aircraft and the Super X-1.
With the new toys to add to the scene it had to move out of the small side shelf and into one of the middle shelves of the display case. This is hours of fun for the Godizlla fan. SHMA King Ghidorah was a very tight fit into the side shelf, but with the glass door he is protected from more dust than he had been on the middle shelf. Also the side shelves have direct lighting. Something the middle shelf lacks, which is the only drawback to the display case.
With all the new space even the new additions looked a bit sparse. The addition of the Destroyah Evolution set filled it in quite nicely though. There are three pieces to the SHMA Destroyah Evolution set and they are, of all the SHMA stuff I’ve personally played with, the most fragile. The tails come off fairly easily. They snap back on fairly easily, except for one I had an issue with, so it’s not a huge deal, just be careful not to loose pieces.
Included here are the photos from last Christmas when the first accessory set arrived along with the Gigan and then this Christmas with the second accessory set and the Destroyahs. I’m quite delighted with how this is coming along.
