SHMA Godzilla 2014
Amidst all the hype around the 60th anniversary of Godzilla’s first appearance (1954 to 2014) and the release of the first Godzilla movie in a decade, S. H. MonsterArts released a figure of the 2014 Movie Godzilla. The 2014 Godzilla is the largest Godzilla and has some of the most gorgeous spines.

This Godzilla was sculpted by Yuji Sakai, with an eye towards balancing realistic appearance with the ability to pose in some of the ways seen in the movie. This figure is just gorgeous.

This Godzilla figure doesn’t come with a lot of accessories like some of the other figures. It’s also a bit more reasonably priced than the others.

SHMA Godzilla 2014 Spitfire

This Godzilla figure is just as gorgeous as the base 2014 SHMA Godzilla but where the base model doesn’t come with accessories the Spitfire comes with clear blue dorsal plates and a breath weapon effect as well as a stand for the breath weapon and a Muto head in Godzilla’s death grip. This Godzilla is made for a diorama of some kind.

I do not, as yet, have the Spitfire Godzilla so I can’t tell you how much fun it is to place in a scene with some of the other figures. I will say that I have a lot of fun setting up my figures and placing them just so with other figures.

These are collectable figures but because they are fully articulated and extraordinarily accurate they are fun to set up and set in scenes. Since they are all to scale with one another the fan can create battle scenes.
